Julia Jarmond (SCOTT THOMAS) is an American living in Paris and writing for an American magazine when her editor assigns her to cover the 60th anniversary of the 'Velodrome D'Hiver' roundups of Jewish families.

Julia soon learns that the apartment she and her husband Bertrand (PIERROT) plan to move into was acquired by Bertrand's family when its Jewish occupants were dispossessed and deported 60 years before.

Sydney Ski Club

The Sydney Ski Club was established in May 1937 by a group of skiing members of the Millions Club in Sydney,

and was subsequently incorporated in April 1959 as a company limited by guarantee. The Club celebrated its 60th anniversary in 1997. In the early years of the Club, there was no private accommodation in the mountains available to skiers, so Club members organised regular Club weeks at The Chalet (Charlottes Pass) and other similar places.
